TraceCheck Mobile App
Check an Android phone for known stalkerware clues and high-risk surveillance patterns — privately, on the device itself.
Android version only.
TraceCheck is available for Android devices only. There is no iPhone or iPad version. Apple’s App Store and iOS privacy rules do not allow the kind of installed-app scan TraceCheck uses on Android, so a matching iOS app cannot be offered. If a friend uses iPhone, they can still use TraceCheck on an Android device they own or control, but there is no TraceCheck app for iOS.
TraceCheck is built to help you understand what is on your Android phone. It is not intended to target, investigate, accuse, or monitor another person. It is a personal privacy awareness tool — a way to look for known stalkerware clues and suspicious setups so you can stay more informed and vigilant.
What TraceCheck helps with
Hidden tracking software — sometimes called stalkerware — can be installed on a phone without a clear home-screen icon. TraceCheck compares what is on the device with a local list of known stalkerware indicators and also looks for common warning signs, such as risky permission combinations, Accessibility abuse, Device Admin access, or apps that hide their icons.
Scan installed items
Checks apps you installed and built-in system software, because hidden trackers can try to blend in with normal device software.
Match known indicators
Compares package IDs and developer signatures with a bundled list of known stalkerware clues.
Flag risky patterns
Highlights setups that often appear in surveillance tools, so you can review them more carefully.
Built to protect privacy — not to target people
TraceCheck is meant to support personal safety and privacy awareness. It is not a tool for spying on a partner, coworker, student, child, or anyone else. It is not a law-enforcement product, not a courtroom evidence service, and not a way to prove wrongdoing about another person.
Use TraceCheck to help protect yourself and your own device. Stay alert to unusual app behavior, unexpected permissions, strange battery drain, unfamiliar accounts, or software you do not remember installing.
Important: results are for information only
TraceCheck does not guarantee it will find every malicious, harmful, or unwanted app.
Scan results are provided for reference and general information only. A clean result does not mean the phone is guaranteed safe. A flagged result does not automatically prove that someone is being tracked or that an app is definitely malicious. You remain responsible for how you interpret the results and for any action you take afterward.
TraceCheck may miss things such as:
- New or modified tracking apps not yet in the indicator list
- Custom spyware made for one target
- Normal apps misused as listening or watching tools
- Shared account access, password sharing, or cloud monitoring
- Threats that need professional forensic analysis
Stay vigilant. Technology checks are only one part of privacy protection. Keep watching for suspicious behavior, review app permissions, check Accessibility and Device Admin settings, and seek trusted help if you believe you may be in an unsafe situation.
How a scan works
- Open TraceCheck on an Android phone.
- Start a scan. The app reviews installed items on that device.
- TraceCheck compares them with local stalkerware indicators and risk patterns.
- Review the results as information to help your own decision-making.
Scans are designed to run on the phone itself. TraceCheck does not require an account, and it is not designed to upload your installed-app list to Kacci Lab for scanning.
Safety first
If you may be in an abusive or controlling situation, scanning or removing software on a shared phone can sometimes create risk. When possible, check from a safer device and consider trusted local support resources before taking action on a phone you believe is monitored.
What TraceCheck is not
- Not a guarantee of a clean or compromised device
- Not professional digital-forensics or legal advice
- Not a service for targeting, accusing, or monitoring other people
- Not available on iOS
- Not an antivirus replacement for every kind of malware
